Lifts 10,000 Tonne Deepwater Jacket

1012 tonnes capacity, cylinders strategically placed in sixteen lifting
positions spread across the foot print of the jacket as it lay on its side. These
sixteen cylinders would be operated in banks of four from four split flow hydraulic
pump units which would subsequently be controlled by a centralised PLC Control
System with the capability to ensure that the cylinders would lift simultaneously, regardless of the loading on each cylinder, in a synchronised fashion and would
remain within a maximum of 1mm of stroke variation, to each other, throughout
the duration of the 605mm total height of lift.
Having ascertained the technical requirements to carry out this huge lift commercial
negotiations began and a contract was signed, on 1st November 2011, between
Hi-Force and SOCAR for the supply of the system including on site supervision of
the lift.
